Ni mazungumzo na mmoja wa vijana alietumika vibaya wakati wa kampein za uchaguzi wa mwaka 2022. Vijana nchini Kenya hutambulika kuwa nguvu kazi katika jamii na wakiwa wengi zaidi kulingana na sensa ya 2019 kuonyesha kuwa asilimia 75 ya watu milioni 47.6 wako chini ya umri wa miaka 35. Uchaguzi uliopita  wa mwaka 2022 vijana na wanawake walionekana kuwa mstari wa mbele kutumika vibaya katika kampeni na maandamano  huku wakimiminiwa ahadi chungu tele. Je kufikia sasa hadi hizo zimeafikiwa?

Si vijana pekee akina mama nao hawakusazwa nyuma.

Karibu katika makala ya uchaguzi wa ahadi tasa langu jina Kulah Nzomo. Uchaguzi uliopita ulikuwa wa amani kulingana na mama Halima, mama wa kikundi cha maendeleo  ila amehisi kwamba pasi na kuwachagua viongozi kumekuwa na ubaguzi wa ugavi wa basari ikiwa wao ndio wamekuwa mstari wa mbele katika kampein huku gharama ya maisha ikiwa imepanda.

Halmashauri ya kitaifa ya takwimu ya Kenya wanawake ndio wengi zaidi kwa asilimia 50.5% ya censa 2019 ambapo mama Halima anasema wako mbioni kutafuta haki zao kama wamama ili serikali ya kaunti iweze kuwatambua.

Amuma Madubi ni mmoja wa wanaharakati amekuwa mstari wa mbele kukaa na vijana kutambua haki zao na kufuatilia jinsi vijana wanaweza saidika baada ya viongozi waliochaguliwa kuingia mitini. Kulingana na kupanda kwa gharama ya maisha kwa sasa jamii inapaswa kushirikiana na kutafuta njia mbadala ya kuweza kujikimu kimaisha pasipo kutegemea viongozi.
